Part 8:  THE CROWN ESTATE

1)  35,565 hectares of rural land with agricultural tenancies, residential and commercial properties and forestry on four rural estates (Glenlivet, Fochabers, Applegirth and Whitehill)

i) The Glenlivet Estate is operated from Tomintoul, Aberdeenshire in the Cairngorms National Park, the village being known as the highest in the Highlands. The Estate has huge attractions including wildlife and scenery, distilleries, historic sites, walking and cycling.

This estate is huge in what it has to offer and it is the desire of the Scottish Heritage Party to engage with local people to see what further opprtunities can be grasped not only to protect the landscape but further its accessibility to all.

ii)  The Fochabers Estate includes the world famous Speyside Way alongside a river famous for decades for its wild salmon.  The Speyside walk leads ultimately to the fantastic Spey Bay famous for dolphins. Another part of the estate gives homage to Scottish land girls who works tirelessly for the war effort in World War II. How we as a Party desire to witness more enjoying this wonderful estate..

iii)  The Applegirth Estate in Dumfries & Galloway perfectly shows off the many scenic delights of Southern Scotland whilst at the same time encourages tenant farmers to develop the landscapes with watercourses etc.

The Estate includes the Annandale Way following the River from near the Devil's Beef Tub (a hollow in the hills where stolen cattle used to be hid) to the Solway Firth near Dumfries.

The Applegarthtown Wetlands are also included in the estate which are well preserved and developed.

iv)  The Whitehill Estate was purchased by the Crown Estate in 1969 with a grand conservation project leading up to 2030. The Estate is widely known for its agricultural and mining heritage.

The Scottish Heritage Party is not closed to re-opening coal mines in Scotland using clean coal technology which we see as a much cleaner alternative to windfarms and its environmentally destroying concrete foundations. Public consultation is vital in this as is public education exposing globalist infiltrations as not acceptable for Scotland, it being our land, not that of a globalist agenda.

2)  Salmon and sea trout fishing rights on many Scottish rivers

It is vital to protect our fishing industry that includes wild salmon and sea trout returning to our rivers and to do this we will immediately cancel all windfarm expansion out to sea, these so called "green" projects doing great harm to the environment. We need fresh healthy fish entering our rivers and this we will ensure with monitoring of fishing and development of fish conservation projects.

Scottish wild salmon and sea trout is famous all over the world and on having a presence in Holyrood we will push for development of this highly sensitive industry.

3)  Around half the foreshore around Scotland including 5,800 moorings and some ports and harbours

We guarantee the electorate that we will fight for our fisherfolk whether they be small businesses or larger ones with protection of our seas from foreign vessels around our shores. We believe our moorings, ports and harbours can be developed bringing great benefit to our economy as a nation and most importantly to fisherfolk themselves who risk their lives to bring us great food.

4)  Leasing of all seabeds out to 12 miles covering some 750 fish farming sites and agreements with cable and pipeline operators

Continuation of the highest standards in food production free of allergens, artificial flavourings, presevatives and sweeteners. In the area of laying down cable and pipelines on the seabed, military protection needs to take place as vital communications could well be at stake here.

Scottish seafood is acknowledged throughout the world and so it will be the passion of a Scottish Heritage Government to further develop this being part of an economically vibrant nation.

5)  The rights to offshore renewable energy and gas and carbon storage out to 200 nmi (370 km)

These are the words being used by the present day Scottish Government highly influenced by "green" ideology. With us this will dramatically change with the sea being protected from harmful windfarms with CO2 being recognized as a good gas that helps the growing of crops, and so we will look to develop oil and gas fields so much cleaner than renewables and more economocally prosperous for the nation.

6)  Mineral rights over naturally occurring gold and silver across most of Scotland

Scottish gold is one of the rarest metals in the world and is therefore unique. Over the years the most gold in Scotland has been found in the Lowther Hills and we would be open to realising the commercial potential of developing this.

Likewise with silver, of course we are open to develop looking to work with Scotland's jewellery businesses to develop this worldwide.

7) Retail and office units at 39-41 George Street Edinburgh [15] plus various other commercial assets.

Looking for the Crown Estate to benefit from a more economically viable Scotland, resources from these properies being used to develop the four estates of the Crown under the care of the Scottish Government.
